Life After Death

I often wondered what would happened to my furkids if anything were to happen to me and A. We, of course, hope that someone in the family would care for them but then again, not everyone are great cat fans. I often wondered if money would help in that area. Would it make it easier for people to take the five kitties in if there was an allocation of funds set aside for their well-being?

Perhaps I should look into some of those online life insurance policy to see if such things exist and if they do what would be the mechanics to make sure that indeed my "kids" would be taken off properly and not just placed in cage for the rest of the lives!

Strange things

Sometimes insurance agents really irks me. They call at the strangest hour and sell the strangest thing. For instance, in my country, we are allowed to own motorhome so why on earth would I take up a motorhome insurance right? When questioned about it, there was silence on the other side. I guess they really need to train their agents to only sell what we need.

Oh well, back to my dvd...

Worry Lines

The kitties are getting sick one after another. If it's not Awan with her constant soft poop, it's Minnie with her constant peeing, and then there's Aggie whose rashes seems to make an appearance again! I really need some wrinkle cream to make sure those worry lines don't developed full bloom.. heeh..

I hope changing the food might help so we'll see.

MotorHome Away

I've always loved one of this vehicle. The idea of traveling around Malaysia with Azwaj and even bringing the kitties along with us is really appealing as it would be like a home on wheel.

I even went to the extent of checking out the for sale section of sell motorhome just to check out how big this thing really is..

Too bad the dream of traveling with this vehicle would never be a reality as it is not allowed here.. oh well :(

The Security Guard Cat

security guard cat
Check out our security guard cat. Isn't she huge? Her name? TOSAI! (an Indian dish) LOL! The security guards at our condo building really spoils her as they feed her all the time. She's so huge that one of the owners here actually brought her to the pet clinic to see if she was pregnant. The diagnosis? It's just fat!

When I took this picture, she had just finished eating and was relaxing on the grass near the guard house. She is so good natured too as she lets me carry her and stuff, not typical of strays for sure. I bet she would even let me dress her in a tuxedo pants or something.. lol!

FIP or Toxoplasmosis? I'm Scared!

Hiya there.. this is Awan.. This is my first blogging experience and I am very excited. I wanted to let you about my soft poop.. hahaha.. I know it's not very interesting topic but mommy thought it would be fun if I talked about it.. hahaha...

At first it started with diarrhea and instead of doing it in the litter bin I would do it behind the door just to show mommy that there is something wrong with me (smart eh?). Mommy and Daddy brought me to the clinic and after a course of antibiotics, my situation improved and I stopped pooping behind the door but my poop was still soft and there was even a little bit of blood. So mommy and daddy decided to bring me to another vet nearby, along with my sister, Aggie, and there Doctor Sharon insisted she wanted to inspect my poop instead of just giving me another dose of antibiotics. So mommy told me that I got to stay at the vet for one night and she told me to imagine that I was going to orlando instead because she said that's where DisneyLand is.. (I love DisneyLand! meow).

However, I was too scared at the vet without my brother Smokey that I didn't eat at all that night and because of that I didn't poop the whole day the next day. That's why Dr Sharon got to only test the tiny bit of poop that was on the thermometer when she took my temperature that afternoon. Oh well.. don't blame me.. I was scared!!

Anyway, based on that tiny sample, Dr Sharon said that there was a lot of white blood cells indicating that there is an infection in my bowel. So she prescribed me another type of antibiotics and vitamins to make me strong. She said the next time I come and visit her and if my condition don't improve, she might want to do a FIP test and or even Toxoplasmosis test! I am so scared because Dr Sharon would have to take blood for this. Mommy and Daddy are also worried though they are keeping their cool.

My doctor appointment is next week so wish me luck that my poop would be hard again!

AwanThis is how I sleep.. cute eh? Meow!

Note from mommy: Awan's poop still has not hardened. It is still pasty and soft with a little hint of blood sometimes. We are still monitoring and hoping for the best before her next trip to the vet. Medical cost for last visit: RM85.00

Aggie Unglamorous Bandage

During Raya, Aggie was very unglamorous :(

Aggie in Bandage
Aggie is still full of appetite

She had this ugly bandage around her neck as that was the only way to stop her from licking the eczema on her neck area. On our last visit to the vet, Dr Sharon totally shaved her neck area, cleaned it with antibacterial wash, placed come iodine on it and bandaged the area real good.

Fortunately Aggie, my good little princess, didn't seem to mind the bandage at all and carried on her merry little way, eating and sleeping as usual.

According to Dr Sharon, there didn't seem to be any infection or bacteria on the wounds (which is good). She even did an ultraviolet light test just to make sure there wasn't any fungus growing on the wounds as well. So Dr Sharon prescriped some steroids to make the wounds go away immediately (which it did), while she put Aggie on antibiotics. Total bill for the visit RM105!

Guess that, I weigh Aggie while at the clinic and she only weigh 3.5kg. I thought she would weigh more than that.. lol!. Guess that best weight loss pill is meant for me only eh? LOL!

She has another appointment with Dr Sharon tomorrow.
